San Diego

This beautiful city is always amazing, always friendly, always welcome.  I forget how much I enjoy San Diego until I return. I've been staying with my friends Robert and Maria Sheperd in University Town Center. As always there is something exciting going on at their house.  This week is the final week before the FIRST San Diego Regional Robotics competition.  It's a competition founded by Dean Kamen.  You remember him, he's the guy who invented the Segway.

While staying here I've had the great pleasure of getting together with my friends Rich and Megan.  Had to drag Rich away from his nursing studies for a couple of hours to go out for sushi.  :)  I think Megs enjoyed that.  She talked to me about her career.  She's quit her job and started school again to become a teacher.  She's very Happy.

I know that I owe you guys a post on "Happiness" and I swear to you its coming.  Just at the moment though Megs comment to me that she was very happy now. Makes a huge amount of sense.  She's fired up about her life!  She's discovered a calling and is working towards making that happen.  Ok more on happiness later.

This week I managed to complete my taxes.  Fortunately my taxes are pretty simple, but I think that I will have to find a good CPA once I get to Ashland.

Went out for a run with the San Diego Hash House Harriers.  Umpf!  going out for a 4 mile run without having been running in a while is not the best idea.  I ended up walking most of the trail, and this morning my legs are paralyzed from the muscle pain.  OUCH!   Getting together with everyone from the Hash was great fun though.  It's something else that I miss from San Diego.

Yesterday I found out that Ashland has a Hash.  I'm so looking forward to getting there.  This spring and summer are going to be great.

Last Movie: The Other Boleyn Girl

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannsen both put on amazing performances.  I expect that both of these ladies are due for Oscar nods soon.

Currently Reading:  The Millionaire Next Door
