Ron,
Thanks for the great comment. If we get the candidate the media wants and drop into a depression there's a good chance that the media will say we're doing great. Look at this year. No one in the media has enough brains to remember their basic economics. They're calling a slow down in the economy a recession. At least they have a dependable track record. Zig Ziglar likes to say that the media has correctly predicted 2 of the last 28 recessions.

Out choices are worse this year than in any other.

1. An aged senator with a voting record that favors special interests.
2. A senator with a history of riding her husband's coattails and appears to be exceedingly power hungry.
3. A junior senator who voted "present" on all controversial issues so he couldn't be pinned down on anything, refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance, refuses to wear a flag lapel pin, regularly associates with people (his "mentors") who profess to hate our Country's ideals, chants "yes we can" at his events, yet says we cannot "continue to live the way we want."

It's going to be a very rough 4 years and I predict we will be in the throes of a full fledged depression if the media gets the candidate they want...and they probably will.
