Surfing the chute on the San Marcos River.
My first weekend in New Braunfels was excellent. Saturday morning Michael said that he had a lot of yard work to take care of. The grass was getting shaggy, he had some hedges to trim, and some dirt to move. The way he said it made it sound like a couple of full days of work. We knocked it all out in about two hours. You’ve gotta give him credit. I haven’t cut a lawn in thirty years. But I enjoyed working out in the hot Texas Sun on Saturday morning.
After we finished up the yard work, Michael suggested that we drive up to San Marcos an swim the San Marcos river. I came up to paddle, but really I just enjoy getting wet in the river. Almost any river will do, but after our afternoon swim I have to admit that the San Marcos is exceptional.
