This past weekend Geoff Franks, the manager of our local Canoe and Kayak outfitter asked me to shoot some video at the Riverhouse Slalom. This race runs down a section of the Deschutes river known as the Riverhouse run because it runs through the property of a local resort hotel, The Riverhouse.” The race is scheduled in March because in April the water is taken out of the river and sent through irrigation canals through central Oregon. So this beautiful run is going to dry up next week.
The Racers looked like they were really enjoying the course. I’m looking forward to maybe joining them next year.
